Day 11: A bountiful box of soap that not only keeps our bodies and clothes clean for the next few months, but enough to share as a beautiful parting gift to a friend who is moving away. Soap that not only smells good, but cleans well, has no unnecessary ingredients and is so beautiful that it needs no embellishments to give as a gift. Day 10: My first day on the job with Learn For a Lifetime! Hello better hours, helping children, reading tons of books and getting paid to make lists! Today I started a master list of the books in our lending library, which I realized quickly was going to take me a kajillion times longer than I had anticipated, give or a take a millennia. But a job that allows/encourages you to take a break from the "work" to play a game with this sweet little face is the kind of job I want in my life.

#100HappyDays: Day 9

Day 9: Derek has been passed back and forth and around between The BIGS like a hot potato for what seems like months between gymnastics meets, Mama K needing to travel with his auntie Karen, work demands, Mama K going to meet Baby Caden in IL and Daddy and Mama K stealing away for a few days together.
He said sadly to me the other day that he was tired of me being away, and he wished I could be home Like I used to be...OUCH. So, today we played video games together, went out to dinner, made silly videos and fun photos on SnapChat, and I sang his bedtime story in my silliest, loudest voice. ''Twas a good day for us. 💚

Day 8: Road Trip Fun! Have you seen The THING?!? Karen had never seen it so we stopped and enjoyed a few happy minutes traipsing through the "museum" that houses The THING. Worth every penny of the $1.00 of admission. LOL! Good stuff!
And yes, I know this is a terrible photo of both of us, but when you ask a stranger to take your photo, you get what you get and you don't pitch a fit. Amen.

In other news, Karen got a clean bill of health from the heart surgeon, who just told her to eat more and walk more. Hallelujah!

#100HappyDays: Day 7

Day 7: I learned to use SnapChat today. I had downloaded it a while back, mostly so DT and I could play with the filters, but it's actually a pretty fun way to keep in touch. My friend, Dani walked me through some of the basics (I'm not very technologically advanced) and I'm having a ball with it.

A sweet friend told me I looked like a Disney Princess in this photo. I'll call that a win. 😉

Day 6: Road Trip! Karen and I are headed to Phoenix for her (hopefully) last post-op check up following her heart bypass earlier this year. We're hoping for a clean bill of health, some extra sleep and to enjoy a few days with less responsibilities. YES PLEASE!

Baby Caden 4 Months Old: A New Toy!

Baby Caden has a toy that he's been waiting to grow into and he's finally big enough to enjoy it. These bouncy/jumper/exerciser things are pretty cool and with a rotating seat, he can see everywhere in the room and reach all of the toys. But today, he doesn't care about that, he's just happy that his toes reach the floor so he can bounce up and down. Way to go, Caden!
