The Best Thing I've Heard All Week

OOPS! I forgot!

OK, I'm a dork...big shock! I forgot the really fun stuff! I'm not sure this will work, but I am going to TRY to add a video or two of our fun at white sands...here goes nothing! Love to all!

OK, I think it worked..cou someone please let me know? Thanks!

'Shua and Lauren...hurray~!

Lauren and Josh came to spend a week with us and what a time we had! We have hiked up and down the mountains, gone to White Sands National Park...yes, again... spent time just hanging out at home playing games and watching movies, drove Alec to the airport a few times, decorated eggs, hid them and found them again and got to worship as a whole family for Easter. It was awesome! We also took Lauren for her first tattoo and 'Shua for his second. I have a few pictures of our time together, ask them also...Lauren took a few hundred while they were here, WOW! I can't tell you what a balm to my lonely spirit it was to have some of my favorite people here for a nice long visit. I am refreshed and invigorated. Dan had the opportunity to be home the whole time they were here and Josh and Dan had many fun times together, helping to heal some of the issues in their relationship. Lauren was astounded at the difference in Dan and found a new respect for him and also told me that she never knew he was so cool. Shhh, don't tell him, he will get a big head! Lauren and I had fun chatting about wedding vs. marriage, kids, finances, and anything else we could think up...it was great. I can't even adequately express how wonderful it is. I bawled all the way home from the airport after I dropped them off, but reminded myself to be grateful that I had someone to miss! I am now looking forward to Dad and Mom's visit in April. Dolli is doing well after a trip to the ER put things into motion for her to finally see a Dr, Tyler went back to school today, and Karen is still looking for work. Oh, an interesting bit of news...as long as I pass a drug screening, I will begin working for Kohl's sometime in the next week or so. A night position that means the kids will be in bed by the time I leave and I won't have to pay a sitter because I can count on Dan to be reliabe these days...Ain't God Great??!!?? Anywho~as this is longer than I wanted it to be, I will hush for now and just add the pics. Love to all! Lost Boys, Mama K loves you! Everyone else...keep in touch!

Blessings,

Alec, the Boomerang Boy!

On Tuesday, Alec...our very FIRST visitor, came to town. He has said all along that he would be the first...and he is! We have enjoyed him greatly and Karen is in love with him. We have played Guitar Hero, watched Spinal Tap, been to the huge wooden park to play Hide and Go Seek Tag, and rolled down the sand dunes of White Sands National Park. We have had a BALL! The only problem is...he won't go home! We have taken 4...count them 4, trips to the El Paso Airport now, only to find that the flight was full and he got bumped, it was rerouted, or cancelled due to the current snowstorm. He finally got a confirmed seat on Sunday's flight out, so one more time we will go! We have had many enjoyable chats to and from the airport and Dan has gotten to know him a bet better also...good times!! Oh, Pat got a cycle ride this week, too, although we had to practically force him to get on the first time...we're great parents! He loved it once he got used to the noise...that was what scared him...it was too loud...LOL! We love and miss you all so MUCH...come and visit!

Pics of Dolli and Dan

Hello all...greetings from sunny New Mexico! For those of you who are considering a visit, I think it got up to 80 today! Derek is sunburned from playing outside most of the day and Pat and David enjoyed another School Free day due to Dan's being home. Anywho~ for those of you that couldn't or haven't seen Dolli's preggo pictures yet...I took a new picture of her just the other day...so here it is! She is now 22 weeks and going strong...only 18 more to go!

As for Dan, he is staying busy this week by helping Charlie fix his motorcycle, chopping down trees in Hilary's yard and fixing up his cycle. He has painted lots of parts, fixed the headlight and tail lights and spiffed up the tank with a paint job and new decals. He is quite proud of it. David got a ride earlier this week and here are the pics of that, too!

Looking pretty good. Not bad for a 25 year old bike, eh? Dan has found a little piece of Heaven right here in town...an all motorcycle junk yard/parts store. He has bought two tires for 20 dollars each, and many little parts for just pennies. The first time he saw it two weeks ago, he said that he actually felt his heart go faster for a second...hahaha...imagine Dan getting all a-flutter over cycle parts... it still makes me laugh! Have a great week everybody...Alec, see you in 5 days...'Shua and Lauren, see you in 7! YES...visitors!
Blessings to all,

Life is Beautiful Down Here

Hey, how is everyone doing tonight? We are all well here at the Meyer/Balding/Myers residence. Dolli has arrived, safe and sound and very cute with her little belly. Karen got to feel the baby kick today...it was very sweet. Alec will be here in one week...WooHoo! Josh and Lauren will be here in 12 days...double WooHoo! Patrick and I played a game today called "Patrick is the Teacher"...and "he" got all his work finished for the week in about 2 hours...tests and all! Mama is a very good student..she even got all A's on her tests! Pat was quite proud of her. David got to help Daddy chop down tree limbs for Miss Hilary and earned 5 dollars and ride on the motorcycle. Rumor has it that Dad and Mom will be here for a week in April, we are all excited about that...I hope that rumor is true! So, short and to the point, all is well down here in what Karen calls, "God's Country." Love to all, especially my Lost Boys...Mama K loves you!!
