The Best Thing I've Heard All Week

A brilliant friend of mine called her new boyfriend a 'gentleman savage' on Facebook this week, and it struck a chord in me. It...

Travel for Business

Hello to all our friends and family!
Dan has been travelling for work the past two weeks (Mon-Thurs only) and has at least one to go, maybe two. He is restoring a library at a higschool that got flooded when the pipes froze and then burst. Anywho, he wanted me to post some of the pictures he took up there...it is breathtakingly beautiful in Cloudcroft, NM. The days without him are hard, but a three day weekend every weekend is something I could get used to quickly. The boys, too, since it means a 4 day school week! Lost Boys, when are you coming? We miss you all!

Blessings,

Kristy and the Man Crew

PS...Dolli update...she will be here in the next few weeks to stay until the baby comes and until after John gets reassigned in Dec. She has two Uteresses and also has placenta previa..please pray for her as keeping her still is like trying to keep Pat quiet...LOL!

Pat's 9th Birthday

Pat turned 9 on Friday and we celebrated his birthday doing all the things he's been asking to do. We went to Sonic for lunch (sorry, Liz) went to see the "Pirates Who Don't Do Anything"(really cute) and went bowling....Derek even beat me, I'm awful! We shared a meal and cake with Karen, Tyler, Charlie and Devin, plus our 5. He got all sorts of fun things and several cards with "fallout" and some phonecalls from well wishers. It was a fun day. Here are some pictures from our day with Pat. *sigh* Where DOES the time go??

Pat's favorite gift was the foam balls for playing on the trampoline. Pat even let Derek help him open the gifts...he really must be growing up. The boys had such fun bowling and Derek loves his sunglasses, can't ya tell? TADA!!

Dan's Big Day and Other Assorted News

Dan is heading out on a trip for work.

Greetings from warm (55 today) New Mexico. Feel free to come visit, we would love to have you here!! Dan had a first today. He left to go on his first business trip. He is going to a little town about 2 hours from here called Cloudcroft. The local high school has some flood damage and Dan is the project manager on site to watch the other crews and make sure that the sub contractors are doing ther jobs correctly and in a timely fashion. So, he will be gone for the Monday through Friday week and home for the weekends for the next three weeks. So, of course, being the scrapbooker that I am, I took a picture of Dan before he left. Anyway, I will add it and a few others that I have taken the past few days. Ya know, I took a while to get into the digital thing and I truly still prefer my film for real picture taking, but a digital can't be beat for sending pics across the nation. Things in general are well here, we are back into school and Derek is still working on that potty training thing, plus he figured out how to get out of his crib last week...RATS! But he probably won't do it again since he fell and landed on the garage floor on his head. Karen has been fighting off a cold and Tyler is looking forward to seeing the Harlem Globetrotters this week. Dolli will be coming home at the end of Febraury for the duration of her pregnancy and until John gets stationed elsewhere...no sense in going back just in time to move again right back to the states. I hope this finds all of you in good health and better spirits. Those of you who I haven't talked to in a long time, Call me these next few weeks while Dan is gone, I'll have a better chance to chat with you without cutting into HIS time...LOL! Just a little reminder to a few of you...Patrick's birthday is Friday, and he will be 9. He is looking forward to it big time and is really wanting a turtle, bouncy play yard balls for in the trampoline and wants to go bowling and see the new "Pirates Who Don't Do Anything" movie. That's about it for now, except that we miss you all so very much. Lost Boys, Mama K loves you! Hugs and Kisses to you all...Share them with one another.
Blessings,
The Man Crew
PS. A quick prayer request: Any of you that know Tony Rogers, he was run over by a car on Wednesday and is in very poor shape. They are keeping him sedated due to his violent outbursts, but are still discovering injuries. Pray for his speedy recovery and a new direction in his life!
David and Pat say goodbye to Daddy.
These two don't have anyhting to do with anything, but they sure do look cool. And these dice are great for Farkle...Farkle anyone??
