Hercules and Me. We cute!

Have we found a shared hobby at last?

 Friends, it would appear that after nearly 25 years of marriage, Dan and I have found (or re-found, as the case may be) the shared hobby of motorcycle riding together. So, I'm letting you all know in advance that there will most likely be many, MANY 'Riding with Hercules' and 'The View From Here' posts here and on FB in the future, for which I will make zero apologies. This victory is hard earned and a long time in coming. Thank you for your understanding. If these posts don't thrill you, that's okay, I don't mind. But it is filling me with a ridiculous amount of joy, which I intend to completely over-share with reckless abandon.

Sparky's Run with the Man Crew Motorcycle Club and Friends

 The view from here: A sweet Sunday cruise up to Sparky’s in Hatch with the Crew. We actually rode with quite a crowd of bikes and even a few cars. The weather was awesome aside from the wind and the food was fantastic. Good times!

A Beautiful Blessed Saturday

 I have had a glorious day. A long brunch with a new friend, haircuts for some of my handsome guys, a sunset motorcycle ride with Hercules, The BIGS, and the girlies, followed by a delightful dinner out. *sigh of happiness*

How Did the Man Crew House Come To Be?

 If you've ever wondered exactly what led up to the Man Crew House being what it is, here's a short version of our back story:

There once was a tall, dark, and handsome man who was very cool and a short and sassy lady that laughed a lot who fell in love, got married, and had 4 ridiculously handsome and charming sons. They wanted to create a unique place for them and all their friends to hang out, and to be well fed, safe, and be encouraged to become the best people they could be. 

And so they did. 

And it was glorious. 

There were games and food and laughter and bellowing, come-to-Jesus meetings and more food and movies and late night chats, and car repairs and vehicle deconstructing and re-constructing, and people moved and wrestling matches in the kitchen, more games and more food and SO MUCH laughter and more character-building exercises.

And plenty of love to go around.

2021 Goals! I have BIG plans this year

I have many goals this year after a few years of actively doing less and I'm rearing to go. I'll add this list in the coming days and then offer a once a month update post.

Spiritual Goals:     

~Read the whole Bible this year. I'm using the YouVersion app to help me do this in a timely fashion.
~Pray from a list
~Attend Church and Community Group either in person or virtually, as Corona allows.

~Read and work through "The Road Back to You" an Enneagram book from a Christian perspective.

Health Goals:     

~Continue to shed inches through smaller portions, more movement, more veggies and more water. My year end goal to be down to single digit pants size and a M top. 
~Make taking my supplements a daily habit.
~Avoid late night snacking. 
~Be able to run up a flight of stairs at Acton without becoming winded.

~Take a long hike once a month. (A Mountain, Dripping Springs, Carlsbad Caverns, The Catwalk, etc.)

Personal Goals:   

~Read every single day, and I'm starting with books I already own. I can't purchase any more until I've read those. *Kindle books don't count as purchases if I get them free*

~Blog daily.

~Make 25 recipes out of my new cookbooks, Cast Iron Cooking and the Tasty Cookbook.

~Participate in No Pants April 2021 and 100 Happy Days 2021
~Buy a handgun and take a safety course.
~New Ink: The MeYeR Man Crew and The Grand Crew- paid for by PattyCakes

~Get passports for the family
~Conquer FSA syndrome by clearing a Flat Surface Area every month, and maintain all other FSAs from previous months

Marriage and Family Goals:    

~Long weekend trip to Grand Canyon- if Corona Allows

~Celebrate 25 year anniversary in August

~Continue with weekly Pizza and Movie Nights

~Visit IL at least once this year

~Dan and I Question Of The Day book daily

~Date Night once a month
~Game Nights weekly

Financial Goals:     

~Refill our emergency fund

~Spend our Tax Refund wisely on home improvements, adding to our savings, and extra principal on our mortgage

~Save money weekly according to my printout in my planner

~Do a No-Spend January

~Pantry Challenge in January
~Stock Pantry with 6 months of staples

I'll add to this as I think of more things that need my attention this year, but this is a pretty good start.
