Woohoo doesn't even begin to express it. SO stinkin' excited! Dan and I recently found out from our beloved 'Shua and Lauren that we were going to be joining the ranks of grandparent-hood. This post is long overdue, but we were asked to keep it quiet for a while until they were ready to share it with everyone. It was such a fun secret to cherish long before everyone else.
After MUCH deliberation, discussion, and trial and error, we decided on names that cover who we are without stepping on any of the other grandparents toes. Dan shall be Poppy D, and I shall be {Grand}Mama K at the suggestion of Lauren, although the little one will just call me Mama K.
So, the countdown begins until our little one arrives. He/she is due on the 27th of February 2017.

Baby Caden is already 16 months old and while I am still {Grand}Mama K, Dan has morphed from Poppy D into GrandDan, which I think suits him better. Last week, Caden said,”Mub ewe, ma K” which roughly translated means, “I love you {Grand}Mama K.” Let me just say that if you think hearing your own offspring say that they love you is awesome, just wait until your sweet bundle of ridiculously awesome cherub of a grandchild says it. It takes your breath away...
