The Best Thing I've Heard All Week

A brilliant friend of mine called her new boyfriend a 'gentleman savage' on Facebook this week, and it struck a chord in me. It...

Catching up with us MeYeR's

Well, if you are trying to catch up with us this week, you better strap on your running shoes because that is what we are doing...RUNNING! Every which way but crazy...who am I kidding, we started out crazy! LOL! Anywho, let's see...what went on this week? Kelly came for a lovely visit and we had 2 game nights while she was here, we enjoyed City of Rocks and Silver City,

Jodi and Kelly spent a happy afternoon strolling about the Historic District of Old Mesilla and shopping, Dan came and went as usual back and forth to and from Hurley where he is working M-TH each week, the boys started spring break when Kelly got here, and Titus got his first tooth...phew, no wonder I'm tired! The beautiful house that I showed pictures of a few weeks ago fell through and while we are disappointed, we trusted the Lord to give us a place to live and He did...HURRAY!

We are still moving this weekend, so I spent all day today packing like mad and will do so for the next 2 days. Friday will be spent preparing the animals for the move, draining the water bed, dismantling the trampoline and the like, Saturday and Sunday we are moving and by Monday AM, Dan has to be back at work...I'm tired just thinking about it! But, the Lord will provide the strength and somehow it will all get done!

SO I'll just post a pic or two and call it a day...hope to be back on track by NEXT Friday and get these posts back on the right day. Hope everyone is well and busy!

Blessings,

Kristy

Kelly, This One is ABOUT You!

Kelly on the left, Jodi on the right and me in the middle where I belong...LOL!

~~As opposed to the one titled, "Kelly, This One is FOR You."..LOL! Well, according to Jodi, I lie about all these people and make them sound wonderful (does that mean she doesn't think they are wonderful??) ...sooooo, what do you want me to say about you? Hee hee! Anywho, enough silliness, let's get down to business. Kelly, you are a great sister! Old enough to offer advice since you've already been there and done that, but young enough to still be relevant ; ) Fun enough to want to spend time with, and practical enough to clip coupons with! Goodness, I am having so much fun with these...trying to really pinpoint my fave qualities about my peeps...LOL! Well, funny, and loyal seem to always make the list and you are both of those in abundance. A great story teller is usually at the top of the list and you do that well, also...as if any child of Dad's couldn't tell a great story...LOL! Gracious...let's see here...we both love to scrap, chase kiddos, our hubbies and the occasional stray dog, shop for a bargain with our gal pals and spend a happy day buried in a pile of books. We have all those things in common, and although we also have differences (such as you being concrete random and I'm SOOO concrete sequential) we seem to compliment each other. Isn't that a funny little coinkidink?? Man, what I wouldn't give for some chex mix, the Monopoly game board and a few hours to share with you...*sigh* or a full day to hit all the OUAC stores for 100 miles...gosh, I miss those trips! I miss your kiddos, your hospitality, your pretty flowers and your scrapbooking prowess! OK, well according to B, I'm getting old and sappy so I better stop before I get mocked anymore...LOL! I'm sooo glad that you are coming to visit us soon, the Monopoly board is waiting!

Kelly, this one is for you!

We just chatted yesterday for the first time in forever, it seems. When we don't chat for awhile, I can just sorta pretend I don't miss you all so much. After we got off the phone, this huge wave of homesickness just crashed over me. Don't get me wrong, I love it here...but sometimes I just wish HERE wasn't so far from THERE, ya know?? I loved it when you could just drop by 38 times a week just to say hi, or drop the kiddies off for the afternoon, or pick me up for an impromptu trip to the scrap booking store. SIGH* I guess Dad was right when he always used to say that life got complicated after you turn 18...LOL! Anywho...all of that to say that I can't wait to see you when you come visit...Oh my GRAVY..all that time to visit, catch up and scrapbook...wheeeee! We also hope/plan to make the long awaited trip back to IL with all of us sometime this summer to just hang out for a week or two...catch up, hang out, have a BBQ, go visit our friends at church and maybe take a girly trip to Long Grove...no kiddies invited...anyone under 30 being considered a kiddie...ha ha ha! Oh, I am drooling just thinking about it...yeah! Tax refund, here I come..watch out! OK, enough chatter for one day I think...Kelly, I miss you!
